Minimum Qualifications Open Competitive NY Helps Qualifications: Either 1. 12 semester credit hours in therapeutic recreation, arts, crafts, dance, drama, or physical education and one year of experience in direct client care in a geriatric setting*; or 2. a high school or high school equivalency diploma and two years of experience in direct client care in a geriatric setting*; or 3. four years of experience in direct client care in a geriatric setting*.
