The surgical program operates 23 ORs, performs more than 18,000 cases annually (60–80 cases per day), and supports a broad service mix including adult and pediatric surgery, adult and pediatric cardiac surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, burn, trauma, and urology. Budget accountability is core to the position — the Director owns annual revenue and expense forecasting, monitors department budget performance, drives labor management through scheduling excellence and productivity controls, and identifies supply and equipment cost-reduction opportunities.
