Employees in this position may be required to operate or use equipment such as: Overhead cranes (cab and radio-controlled), forklifts, front-end loaders, steel transporters, computerized production systems, spectrometer equipment, and various material-handling and rigging devices including magnets, grapples, chains, cables, slings, and tongs. The rolling mill production operator assists in the operation of rolling mill and soaking pit activities by handling materials, operating overhead cranes and related equipment, maintaining product identification, collecting samples, and assisting operating and maintenance personnel in the performance of production requirements.
