Responsibilities: A clinically competent, registered, professional nurse who prescribes, delegates, and coordinates patient care to the acutely ill patient through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Ensures that care is delivered by those who are competent/trained to do so according to the patient population, level of technology required, complexity of care needs, and the age of the patient.
