Responsibilities:
<ul><li>The Multi-Facility Food & Nutrition Director is responsible for the overall management of Food & Nutrition Services Department in multiple facilities and/or multiple departments within a region including, administrative, financial, compliance, quality improvement, technical, and personnel activities in accordance with established hospital and department policies and standards. </li><li>Delegates responsibility for full time daily management of operations to a qualified individual at each site and provides guidance. </li><li>Ensures the efficiency of food prepared in the department taking into consideration food safety, nutritional adequacy and appropriate patient nutritional care responsible for the development and enforcement of policies and procedures that direct clinical services, food preparation, distribution and service, purchasing, sanitation, safety practices, performance improvement, and staff education and development.<br/> </li></ul>

Qualifications:
<ul><li>Registered Dietitian (RD) <strong>required</strong></li><li>Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Food & Nutrition or related field or relevant experience. </li><li>Two (2) years’ experience in the fields of nutrition and food service management <strong>required</strong></li><li>Food Safety Certification from an accredited organization and maintain current</li></ul><p style="margin:0px"> </p>

<p>Responsibilities POSITION SUMMARY: Performs the primary function of a professional dietitian in assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating the nutritional care provided to high risk patients. The dietitian is responsible for interacting with medical staff, nursing staff, ancillary staff and Nutrition Services Department regarding patient care, concerns, and conflicts by identifying and assisting in the resolutions. Responsible and accountable for maintaining performance skills. May be occasions when it will be necessary to work weekends and holidays. This position summary contains the most relevant duties and responsibilities and does not exclude other assignments not mentioned. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Familiar with basic nutritional assessments for all age groups. 2. Bilingual (English-Spanish) helpful. 3. Varied experience in dietetics is preferred. 4. Experience with computer is desirable. 5. Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS's Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer. EDUCATION / LICENSURE: 1. Must be registered by the American Dietetic Association 2. Licensed by the State of Texas or receive license within 6 months of becoming registered.
