Minimum Qualifications:-Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field from an accredited institution.-Current registration as a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).-State licensure (if applicable) or eligibility to obtain licensure in the state of assignment.-Minimum of 2 years of professional experience providing clinical nutrition services.-Proficiency in using electronic medical records and Microsoft Office Suite.-Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work independently.-Must have CDE (Certified Diabetes Educator) CertificationPreferred Qualifications:-Experience working in IHS, tribal, or rural healthcare environments.-Knowledge of Native American dietary patterns, cultural preferences, and community health practices.-BLS Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) to patients with chronic diseases such as diabetes, obesity, hypertension, and cardiovascular disease.-Educate patients and families on healthy eating habits, label reading, and culturally relevant meal planning.-Support interdisciplinary care by collaborating with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other allied health professionals.-Deliver group classes, health promotion events, and community outreach programs focused on nutrition and wellness.-Document all patient interactions in the electronic health record system (e.g., RPMS/EHR) in a timely and accurate manner.-Participate in quality improvement projects, audits, and program development related to nutrition services.-Provide training and guidance to paraprofessional staff or diet technician aides as needed.
