Lincoln Meadows Care Center is seeking a dedicated COTA to join our rehabilitation department and help residents achieve their highest level of independence and quality of life. This is an excellent opportunity for a therapist who enjoys hands-on patient care, teamwork, and working in a positive skilled nursing environment where clinicians are valued and supported.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES ARE: Appropriately evaluates (initially and periodically throughout care) client in areas of range of motion/flexibility; postural alignment, muscle strength and endurance; sensation, reflexes, neurovascular status; soft tissue, bony palpation, passive joint mobilization; body mechanics and work efficiency; wound care; cardiopulmonary function; sitting and standing balance; mobility and gait training; and safety. Treats clients to develop or restore function and maintain maximum performance using physical means such as: therapeutic exercise, range of motion, coordination exercise, balance exercise, gait and transfer training with various weight bearing, prosthetic training, modalities, and others.
The Occupational Therapy Assistant implements occupational therapy programs and provides occupational therapy treatments to patients to facilitate increased independence and functioning, under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. Puts Patient Service First: Ensures that patients and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals' needs and rights.
