Follows the safety guidelines and directives for the student in regards to functional mobility and orientation (i.e. transfers, wheelchair or walker mobility, etc.) and exercises provided by other related service providers (i.e. occupational therapist, vision itinerant, hearing itinerant, speech and language pathologist, orientation and mobility instructor, etc.).

• Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy • Current and Active Occupational Therapy Assistant license within the state of operations • Prefer-experience/knowledge in older adult rehabilitation • Prefer knowledge in governmental and regulatory guidelines in designated healthcare settings. The OTA participates as an integral part of the interdisciplinary team, manages resources to meet the needs of the resident/resident and related customers balancing outcomes and cost effective and efficient treatment.

BLS certification (Issued by the American Heart Association-AHA, or the American Red Cross-ARC) OR CPR/AED certification (issued by the American Heart Association-AHA, or the American Red Cross-ARC) is required upon entry to the position. Responsible for evaluating occupational therapy needs and implementing comprehensive, medically prescribed occupational treatment to assigned patients in a supervises program of rehabilitation.
