Effective April 1, 2013, a person supervising an associate clinical social worker (ASW) must maintain current valid California license and be licensed for a total of at least two years prior to commencing any supervision and have practiced clinically in two of the past five years immediately preceding the commencement of supervision.--- Must successfully complete 350 clock hours of supervised clinical practicum (or is in the process of accumulating such supervised clinical experience); 2. Performed not less than 9 months of supervised full-time SLP services after obtaining a master’s or doctoral degree in SLP or a related field; and 3. Successfully completed an approved national examination in SLP 2.
