Ability to work 20 to 30 hours weekly Work directly with applications engineering to solve application issues - also works with development, manufacturing and purchasing Assist applications engineering team in identifying and developing motor designs for customers specific general industry systems Use calipers, a CMM, or a surface table to measure parts Write engineering change notices Run a dynamometer to test electric motors Assist with samples, customer approvals, manufacturing issues and UL approvals Estimates and tracks time required to perform customer and internal support. Assist engineers in performing motor tests Prepare motors, test fixtures, and various test equipment Collect data and summarize in a report using graphical analysis of the test data Assist engineers in troubleshooting motor issues Assemble, disassemble, and/or modify motors related to experimentation to determine improvements Use electronic and mechanical lab tools for various measurements to describe motor performance and features Prepare and ship motor samples to customers.
