Performs clinical skills and tasks within defined competencies, including the insertion, maintenance, and removal of peripheral IVs (PIVs), Foley catheters, and nasogastric tubes; venipuncture; safe wound care; and the collection and documentation of vital signs, glucose levels, intake, and output. Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
