Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Radiation Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty required License: Current nursing license required Certifications: - BLS - ACLS - Chemotherapy certification preferred Must-Have: - Understanding of high-dose radiation therapy, including interstitial, ring tandem, vaginal cylinder, total body irradiation, head and neck scoping, pelvic exams, and spaceoar treatment - Experience with patient management in oncology, including head and neck, breast, gynecological, lung, gastrointestinal, neurological, transplant, prostate, and urological cancers - Skills in accessing and managing ports, central line blood draws, PICC line care, and infusion pump management - Proficiency in recognizing and communicating abnormal lab values Description: This position involves caring for an oncology-based patient population in an outpatient clinic setting. Additional preferred skills include telemetry interpretation, wound care, tracheostomy management, and adherence to radiation safety precautions.
