Coursework may include topics related to art therapy such as history and theory of art therapy, practical application of transpersonal art therapy including community based art studio methods, human development, counseling skills, arts psychotherapy group process, social and multicultural awareness, art therapy assessment and research methods, ethics, and transpersonal approaches to healing. •EITHER a doctorate in Counseling, Counselor Education & Supervision, Psychology, related area relevant to mental health (e.g., Counseling Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related to the course specialization; with active ATR-BC OR these three requirements: 1) Master's degree in Counseling or a related field; 2) Required active ATR-BC (Board Certified Art Therapist).
