Essential Responsibilities: Patient Care: Welcome patients and prepare them for provider examinations by obtaining and documenting patient history, chief complaint, current medications, allergies, medical history, surgical history, family history, social history, preventive care information, and other relevant clinical information in the electronic medical record (EMR). Working under the direction of a Physician, Physician Assistant, or APRN, the Medical Assistant prepares patients for examinations, performs clinical procedures within the scope of practice, assists providers during patient visits, and supports front office operations.
