The role collaborates with faculty to develop and revise courses, support best practices in online learning, design accessible instructional materials, and provide professional development. The position also supports compliance with college standards, Quality Matters standards, and ADA accessibility requirements. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <ol><li> </li><li>Coordinate instructional design projects from inception to completion.</li><li> </li><li>Collaborate with faculty subject matter experts to provide learning design services to develop new courses, support the revision and delivery of existing courses, and propose solutions for complex challenges in online and blended learning environments.</li><li> </li><li>Support faculty and programs in online education through course design theory, teaching and learning pedagogy, and best practices in online education through course design and delivery.</li><li> </li><li>Support faculty assessment of student learning outcomes, especially in integrating measurable outcomes and mapping and reporting learning outcomes in a Learning Management System.</li><li> </li><li>Design and produce accessible learning materials in a variety of formats including print, graphics, audio, video, animation, and multimedia to support teaching, learning, and course redesign needs.</li><li> </li><li>Provide professional development opportunities to support faculty and offer guidance on instructional design best practices, course design, effective use of instructional tools, Quality Matters standards, accessibility, and compliance requirements.</li><li> </li><li>Reports regularly on tasks and progress by coordinating peer-review process through continual communication to instructors whose courses are under review and work with assigned faculty to provide detailed feedback.</li><li> </li><li>Work with faculty to ensure compliance with college and Quality Matters standards and courses are ADA compliant.</li><li> </li><li>Plan, teach, and assess learners one course per semester.</li><li> </li></ol>   MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS <ul><li> </li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Information Systems, or related field from a nationally accredited institution required.</li><li> </li><li>Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Information Systems, or related field from a nationally accredited institution preferred.</li><li> </li></ul> MINIMUM EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS <ul><li> </li><li>Experience designing online course content. (required)</li><li> </li><li>Proficiency with digital audio and video recording and editing techniques and tools. (required)</li><li> </li><li>Experience using a learning management system such as Blackboard, Canvas, Moodle, etc. (required)</li><li> </li><li>Successful completion of the Applying the QM Rubric Workshop and Designing or Improving Your Online Course within 45 days of employment. While this is a 10-month position, additional summer work may be available for faculty, as desired.  DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <ol><li> </li><li>Conduct assigned classes of instruction in the best manner to achieve student learning; present information, ideas, and skills in ways that are appropriate to a variety of learning styles and that show sensitivity to a diverse student population.</li><li> </li><li>Provide students with the approved course syllabus and relate instruction and evaluation to that syllabus.</li><li> </li><li>Treat students with tact and respect, maintain collegial relationships, and work productively as a member of a team.</li><li> </li><li>Evaluate student achievement with timely interim and final performance evaluations and assign grades that reflect College policy and the achievement of course objectives as stated in the syllabus.</li><li> </li><li>Maintain regular office hours, maintain overall accessibility to students, and serve as a success coach to students. Maintain a high-degree of flexibility to be accessible and accommodate student needs, which may require meetings outside of scheduled classroom or office time.  </li><li> </li><li>Maintain instructional quality and effectiveness through constant and timely revisions of programs and course syllabi within assigned content area. Exhibit an innovative approach to instruction.</li><li> </li><li>Maintain class records and submit required reports in a timely manner.</li><li> </li><li>Develop new courses and select and recommend appropriate instructional materials.
