Responsibilities of the Department Head will include to serve as the contact person for the academic programs, develop and support of program internship, facilitate academic program outreach, promotion, and marketing, preparation of the course schedule, preparation of applicable accreditation reports and assessments, facilitate program advisory committee activities, develop and revise program curriculum, preparation of the course schedule, assists in the recruitment and selection of program or discipline adjunct faculty, mentoring and training of new adjunct faculty as requested by the Dean, Advisor to HMS Club, and other duties as assigned. Engages students outside of class in support of the curriculum and co-curriculum; provides thorough, timely, and effective feedback to students regarding the mastery of course and program learning outcomes; develops curriculum and works collaboratively with colleagues to select program and/or discipline resources; assists in the selection and development of faculty; participates in and/or leads the instructional activities of the discipline and governance of the pathway and college.
