They are responsible for greeting patients in person and over the phone, providing information, verifying insurance, scheduling appointments, verifying and updating patient information, collecting co-pays, providing forms for completion, obtaining pre-authorizations, arranging for referrals and testing, obtaining signatures, following established escalation procedures and communicating with office staff and providers. It includes Manchester Memorial Hospital, a 249-bed community hospital, Rockville General, a campus of Manchester Memorial Hospital, a 102-bed facility, a large multispecialty provider group and visiting nurse services.
