You’ll be joining a team of dedicated professionals with the opportunity to learn about environmental regulations and how we remove hazardous materials from the waste stream. Once trained in this role, you will consolidate, treat, store, transport, and/or dispose of hazardous waste in accordance with environmentally responsible and compliant practices, policies, and procedures. This is a physically active job where you’ll be lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds throughout the day, operating a forklift and other mobile equipment to move containers to and from storage and treatment areas, and to load and unload trailers. You will complete required documentation accurately, timely, and legibly in accordance with applicable regulations and customer policies, practices, and procedures.</div><div><br/></div><div><strong>Basic requirements:</strong></div><ul><li>Ability to repeatedly lift and carry 50 pounds throughout the workday.</li><li>Ability to stand and walk over uneven surfaces for extended periods.</li><li>Visual acuity to read labels and documentation; depth perception to safely drive forklifts.</li><li>Ability to hear vehicle warning chimes and alarms.</li><li>Ability to work outdoors in all climate conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled conditions.</li><li>Willingness and ability to wear company-issued personal protection equipment, including safety glasses, hard had, steel toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator. </li></ul><div><strong><br/>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></div><ul><li>High school diploma or GED.</li><li>Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.</li><li>Basic computer skills to complete web-based training.</li><li>Ability to understand and respond to written and verbal English.</li><li>Ability to predictably and regularly attend work during scheduled hours. Description This Job requires Reservoir management to be responsible for the implementation of the overall water control plan of these watersheds which includes operational forecasting, flood control, and drought management. Reservoir operations use software systems and data from many sources to implement the water control plan: hydrologic equipment and instrumentation, weather forecasts, and historical operational information.

<strong>Environmental Engineer</strong><br/><strong>Birmingham, AL 35203</strong><br/><strong>$32.00/Hour - $38.57/hour</strong><br/>
 <br/><br/><strong>Description </strong><ul><li>This Job requires Reservoir management to be responsible for the implementation of the overall water control plan of these watersheds which includes operational forecasting, flood control, and drought management. </li><li>Reservoir operations use software systems and data from many sources to implement the water control plan: hydrologic equipment and instrumentation, weather forecasts, and historical operational information. </li><li>A remote network of real-time instrumentation is also maintained by reservoir management personnel and contractors including rain, stage and temperature sensors. </li><li>Reservoir management also provides watershed modeling using river analysis software. </li><li>To facilitate these functions, computer systems and a software suite referred to as HOMS (Hydro Optimization Management System) are also operated and maintained by reservoir management. </li><li>This position will support the hydro reservoir management team with these activities.</li></ul>
 <br/><strong>Primary Responsibilities:</strong><ul><li>Water resource management which includes hydro operations forecasting, flood control, and drought management</li><li>Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling</li><li>Watershed modeling</li><li>Support of the gaging systems and equipment</li><li>Computer system management</li><li>Programming to support software developed and maintained by reservoir management</li><li>Computer model development and configuration</li></ul>
