Nurses working in the following areas are required to successfully obtain PEARS within 6 months of employment, and subsequently maintain at all times: Acute Care Float, Apheresis Services, Bellevue, Cancer Care Unit, Dialysis, Hematology & Oncology Clinic, Home Care Infusion Therapy, Immunology, Immunotherapy, Infusion, Medical Unit, Psychiatric Unit, Rehabilitation Unit, Research nurses working in Cancer Care and CCTR, Surgical Unit, Urgent Care (all locations), Vascular Access Services. Nurses working in the following areas are required to successfully obtain a Chemotherapy Biotherapy Provider Card from the Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses (APHON) within 6 months of employment, and subsequently maintain at all times: Acute Care Float (Nurse Travelers are exempt from this requirement), Cancer Care Unit, Hematology/Oncology, Infusion.
