Actively participate in the Correctional Healthcare Team: Function as a job coach and mentor during the on-the-job training phase of the new employee orientation; provide direction to the new employee, observe performance, and provide feedback to supervisors, and complete a written and or verbal evaluations of job training when requested. Administer medical and nursing treatment, including medication administration, treatments, dressing changes, monitoring and evaluating vital signs, obtaining and preparing specimens for laboratory analysis, starting and administering IV's, traction, and assisting with minor surgeries.
