OTAs should be able to lift and assist patients safely, demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and possess a solid understanding of anatomy, motor function, and occupational therapy principles. As a OTA, you will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT) to help patients of all ages develop, improve, or recover the skills needed for daily living and working.
