It will also play a critical role in resource optimization, budgeting, planning, and risk monitoring and mitigation.Primary Responsibilities:<ul><li>Portfolio Oversight: Overseeing and managing a portfolio of IT projects and programs, including project selection, prioritization, and resource allocation.</li><li>Resource Optimization: Optimizing resource allocation across IT projects to ensure efficient use of resources and maximize value, including addressing resource gaps.</li><li>Risk Management & Governance: Identifying and mitigating risks associated with IT initiatives, ensuring compliance with standards, and monitoring portfolio risks and controls.</li><li>Performance Monitoring: Tracking and reporting on the performance and progress of IT projects, including KPIs and OKRs, and conducting performance analysis.</li><li>Stakeholder Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization to facilitate communication and alignment.</li><li>Process Improvement: Developing and implementing portfolio management processes and best practices, supporting continuous improvement, and establishing work intake processes.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience in project/portfolio management.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in IT or a relevant field is desirable.</li><li>Experience or knowledge of general insurance principles is preferred.</li><li>Experience with IT project or portfolio management is crucial.</li><li>Solid understanding of project management methodologies, specifically Agile.</li><li>Experience with portfolio management tools, preferably Jira and Jira Align.</li><li>Knowledge of budgeting, financial analysis, and cost management related to IT investments.</li><li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.</li><li>Leadership experience managing cross-functional teams.</li><li>Ability to think strategically and align IT initiatives with business goals.</li><li>Experience in risk management and mitigation.</li></ul>Allied World Assurance Company Holdings, Ltd, through its subsidiaries, is a global provider of insurance and reinsurance solutions.
