CTG is seeking a dependable and customer-focused IT Support Technician to provide hands-on and remote technical support for end users in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for a technology professional with strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience supporting Windows, Linux, and macOS systems. Location: Poughkeepsie, NY Duration: Ongoing Contract Key Responsibilities:<ul><li style="font-family:'calibri' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Provide first-level and second-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and peripheral devices</li><li style="font-family:'calibri' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, and network connectivity issues</li><li style="font-family:'calibri' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Install, configure, and maintain Windows 10/11, Linux, and macOS systems</li><li style="font-family:'calibri' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Perform system upgrades, patch management, and hardware replacements including RAM and SSD upgrades</li><li style="font-family:'calibri' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Support networking technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN connectivity</li><li style="font-family:'calibri' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Deliver in-person, phone, and remote support while maintaining high customer satisfaction</li><li style="font-family:'calibri' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Document incidents, resolutions, and technical procedures within ticketing systems</li><li style="font-family:'calibri' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Assist with workstation setups, equipment deployment, and IT inventory management</li></ul>Required Skills & Qualifications:<ul><li style="font-family:'calibri' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Linux, and macOS environments</li><li style="font-family:'calibri' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Experience troubleshooting desktop hardware, software, and peripheral devices</li><li style="font-family:'calibri' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Basic understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN</li><li style="font-family:'calibri' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities</li><li style="font-family:'calibri' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Strong communication skills with a customer-first mindset</li><li style="font-family:'calibri' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li style="font-family:'calibri' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">1–3 years of experience in helpdesk, desktop support, or IT support roles preferred</li></ul>Education:<ul><li style="font-family:'calibri' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience</li></ul>Physical Requirements:<ul><li style="font-family:'calibri' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 30–50 lbs.</li><li style="font-family:'calibri' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods</li></ul>Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. CTG does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee based recruitment services for this role. To Apply: To be considered, please apply directly to this requisition using the link provided.
