The selected candidate will work closely with Division of Family & Child Health leadership, Bureau leadership and program subject matter experts (SMEs) to support and coordinate emergency preparedness activities to enable more effective and efficient responses, including but not limited to conducting risk assessments to identify hazards and vulnerabilities and developing and refining emergency plans and strategies based on data-driven insights. Advocating to support families, children, and school staff in public health emergencies by gathering and integrating emergency preparedness data from multiple sources including demographics (age, income, sex, ethnicity, education, language spoken, religion), facility capacities, shelter status, and housing support as needed for optimizing safety.
