Candidates for the HSIR Division Chief should have a: (1) proven track record of leadership, (2) history of innovative and successful investigation, (3) strong appreciation of a multifaceted range of health service research areas, and (4) commitment to program development, team science, mentoring across career stages, and education. To this end, the Division Chief will engage with relevant academic department chairs, the University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics and University of Utah Medical Group leadership to develop and validate enhanced and innovative approaches to health care delivery and outcomes assessment, with the expectation that the vision and expertise of the Division Chief will inform program goals.
