Common patients include ortho post-ops, basic neuro post-ops (laminectomies, discectomies, spinal fusions), other general post-ops (gallbladders, mastectomies, sleeve gastrectomies), infections, and medical diagnoses including COPD, CP, pneumonia, and cellulitis. Charge nurse takes a full patient assignment; a clinical assistant is available 40 hours/week, with half the time on the floor taking patients and half in the office.
