Supervise Aquatic operations, including but not limited to, the American Red Cross Learn To Swim (LTS) program (Parent-Child Aquatics, Preschool Aquatics, and LTS levels 1-4), aqua aerobics, silver sneakers programs for seniors, camps, a year-round TAAF swim team, DISD elementary swim programs, Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) classes, Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification program, private lessons, special events and in-service training. Oversee, collaborate, and perform planning and executing activities for department special events, programs and activities including, but not limited to, coordinate and plan activities with internal and external stakeholders events, develop, complete, and submit event-related ordinances, and oversee special event permit process for external special events, logistics, personnel and inventory resources, emergency planning and coordination, and sponsorship and donation acquisition.
