Performs a variety of tasks for the Patching Crew related to maintenance operations, including, but not limited to, repairing potholes and base surface failures of roadway using hand tools, hand tamp, placing aggregates, removing and installing mailboxes, cleaning, installing, replacing, and repairing storm drainage pipe and structures, repairing washouts and sinkholes, and clearing trees and obstructions from the right-of-way. Operates the AMZ patching machine, asphalt roller and kettle, power tools and hand tools for paving, patching repairs to base and pavement on roads, driveway, crossovers, turn lanes, parking areas, bridge approaches, etc., using hot plant mix, cold plant mix, and bituminous surfacing.
