Ability to: communicate clearly and effectively, orally and in writing, multi task, identify suspicious acts utilizing T.V. monitors, remain alert and responsive, respond effectively in crisis or emergency situations, exercise good judgment under stressful circumstances, monitor and operate a variety of security devices and equipment simultaneously, to manipulate keys, keyboards, panels, operate levers and buttons, develop and maintain effective working relationships with associates, youth, family members, visitors and general public; maintain confidentiality of confidential and sensitive subject matter; exercise sound judgment in making fair but firm decisions; work in a locked environment. Monitors all security sensitive areas of the interior and exterior perimeter of the detention facility to ensure the safety and security of employees and juveniles including, but not limited, to the following: electric locks, sally-port doors, intake area, visitation area, secure elevator movement, secure vestibules, and secure vestibule connector in the basement.
