Operate and control the screed to maintain specified mat thickness, grade, and slope Adjust screed extensions, crown, and angle of attack in response to paving conditions Monitor asphalt flow across the screed and correct segregation or uneven distribution Check grade and surface smoothness using hand tools and visual alignment Assist with head-of-mat adjustments, joints, and transitions Perform daily inspections, cleaning, and routine maintenance of screed components Coordinate closely with the paver operator, roller operators, and foreman to maintain quality and pace Follow all safety policies and job-site regulations. Such action shall include: employment, upgrading, demotion, or transfer; recruitment or recruitment advertising; layoff or termination; rates of pay or other forms of compensation; and selection for training, including apprenticeship, pre-apprenticeship, and/or on-the-job training.
