Under general direction of the Hydroelectric Plant (HEP) Operations Superintendent, the incumbent supervises and coordinates the Plant Operation Unit in the operations and control of pumping plants and Area Control Center (ACC) within the Delta Field Division (DFD), which includes, but is not limited to, starting, synchronizing, regulating, stopping, securing main pumping units and the manipulation of remotely controlled checks and turnouts. Additionally, this position may participate in emergency operations in the capacity of area teams, field inspection, coordination, and assist agencies such as California OES and FEMA in disaster work, including preforming fieldwork to complete damage survey reports for droughts, flooding, earthquakes, and other emergencies.
