Function/Duties of Position: The duties of this position include: Providing clinical care to Neuro-Ophthalmology patients of the University Hospital and Clinics and affiliated hospitals and clinics; engaging in public service through consultative activities with non-university groups as approved by Department Chair; providing staffing to residents seeing Neuro-Ophthalmology patients; teaching residents and house staff about neuro-ophthalmology diseases and issues; performing research relevant to neuro-ophthalmology medicine. The Casey Eye Institute is home to a collaborative team of 69 ophthalmologists, 12 optometrists, and multiple basic science faculty, and offers comprehensive subspecialty care including: Glaucoma, Cornea, Retina, Oculoplastics, Pediatric Ophthalmology, Ophthalmic Pathology, Oncology, Uveitis & Ocular Immunology, Low Vision Rehabilitation and Ophthalmic Genetics.
