Summary: Under the supervision of Radiology Leadership, Technologists and Nurses the Imaging Assistant is responsible for assisting members of the patient care team and providing a broad range of health care services such as: patient check-in, preparation for the visit, patient education, assistance with exam and room prep, and patient transporting using a wide variety of radiographic equipment, computers, and software. Assists technologists with patients as needed including, but not limited to; sets up the imaging room to coincide with the examination being performed, including coil placement, lifting/transferring patients to exam table, positioning patients on the table ensuring patient comfort and modesty, monitors patients in holding area.
