After successful completion of each step, wages may increase as outlined below: + Starting wage (Apprentice level) : $21.05 - $21.55 + Completion of Step One: $22.60 + Completion of Step Two: $24.14 + Completion of Step Three: $25.83 NOTE : With a minimum of 5 years of experience in state, county, or highway work, it may be possible to be hired at Step 2.
