Creditable specialized experience may have been gained in performing the full spectrum of patrol and law enforcement duties including exercising apprehension authority and executing anti-terrorism force protection measures; in conducting formal criminal investigations, processing crime scenes, and preserving evidence; through service as a Base Defense Operations Center Controller managing emergency dispatch, alarm monitoring, and detention cells; in acting as an initial on-scene incident commander during emergency responses to isolate threats and establish control points; or in other work that provided the required knowledge and skills. The primary purpose of this position is to perform law enforcement work to maintain law and order, preserve the peace, protect life and civil rights, detect and investigate crimes, arrest or apprehend violators, and perform patrols within the assigned jurisdictions.
