The Speech Therapist will provide direct (on-site) speech-language therapy services to a case load of students and assist the program in completing the following: • Provide direct, on-site speech-language therapy to a caseload of students • Conduct speech and language evaluations for initial placement and ongoing progress monitoring • Develop individualized Plans of Care, quarterly progress reports, and discharge summaries • Participate in IEP, IFSP, and family meetings as scheduled or required • Collaborate closely with Behavior Analysts, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, and Teaching Staff to deliver cohesive, student-centered programming • Provide training and guidance to teaching staff around speech and communication goals • Supervise speech assistants in accordance with Maine Board of Examiners requirements, as applicable. Today, the organization provides a wide array of clinical, educational, behavioral health, residential, community and family support programs to more than 2,000 children, youth and adults with autism, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities and/or mental health diagnoses throughout the state.
