Intern will gain knowledge in the analysis of 'omics datasets (DNA, RNA, proteomics, metabolomics and global methylation profiling) from cerebrospinal fluid using bioinformatics and machine learning tools; interpret and present experimental data from methods like DNA/RNA extraction, ddPCR, NGS, mass spectrometry and arrays; learn to read and present scientific literature in a journal club setting. The program focuses on training research interns in the analysis of 'omics data (DNA, RNA, proteomics, metabolomics and global methylation profiling) using bioinformatics and machine learning techniques for the development of minimally invasive biomarkers for CNS tumors.
