Works closely with the leadership team of the Vice President and Chief Facilities Officer for Facilities Management, Vice President, Clinical Infrastructure Development and Growth, Executive Vice President & Chief Physician Office, Executive Vice President, Chief Clinical Ops Office, Executive Vice President Cancer Network to achieve program priorities and objectives. The primary purpose of the Associate Vice President, Patient Care & Prevention Facilities position is to direct the management and provision of all space and properties in support of the Patient Care and Prevention Facilities and Greater Houston Area Cancer Network missions of UT MD Anderson including maintenance operations, alteration, housekeeping, and repair of buildings.
Assists the care team in the completion of reports that allow the team to assess and manage the health needs of the patient population, such as defined groups of patients (e.g., patients with specific clinical conditions such as conditions that involve greater health risk if not receiving timely care, consultation, and/or testing). Performs protocol-based triage as appropriate; route phone calls in the form of phone notes documented in the EMR to the provider for review and instructions; and return calls to patients as directed by the provider in coordination with the senior clinic manager.
