Collaborate with physicians, case management, and the interdisciplinary team on rounds and discharge planning; educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and post-discharge self-care; maintain compliance with accreditation, infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA requirements; perform other duties as assigned. In this role, you will provide an intermediate level of care to patients who are not stable enough for a general medical-surgical floor but do not require the full intensity of an ICU, including those recovering from major surgery, managing serious conditions such as heart failure, respiratory illness, or infection, or transitioning out of the ICU after stabilization.
