You will assist emergency department physicians with patient examinations and treatments including central line insertions, lumbar punctures, defibrillation, cardioversion, chest tube insertion, thoracentesis, arterial lines, suturing, needle chest decompressions, endotracheal and nasotracheal intubation, insertion of intraosseous lines, endotracheal suctioning, inserting Foley catheters, and securing airways through insertion of oral/nasal airway devices. You will monitor patient cardiac rhythm, perform 12 lead EKG, document EKG strips, suction patient airways as directed, and report findings to physician and care team assigned to patient.
