Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications; minimum of 2 years of experience; proficiency in cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, rapid response procedures, central and peripheral line care, blood product administration, intravenous therapy, cardiac drip management, chest tube care, tracheostomy management, noninvasive airway management, wound care, and feeding tube care. Care may involve post-cardiac and post-angiogram patients, myocardial infarction, pre- and post-cardiac catheterization, cardiac surgery, renal failure, hemodialysis, cerebrovascular accident, total joint replacement, surgical drains, cardiac drips, insulin protocols, procedural sedation, and rapid response activation.
