The College also houses a research arm, the Division of Rehabilitation Sciences ( https://www.uthsc.edu/health-professions/research/rehabilitation-sciences.php ) and includes the Muscle Biology and Sarcopenia Laboratory, the Muscle and Neural Laboratory, the Integrative Muscle Biology Laboratory, the Human Performance Clinical and Research Laboratory, and the Movement Science Laboratory. The mission of the Department of Diagnostic and Health Sciences ( https://www.uthsc.edu/health-professions/diagnostic-health-sciences ) is to produce graduates who are competent, compassionate, who employ critical thinking skills, who are poised to become leaders in the fields of Cytopathology, Histopathology, Medical Laboratory Science, Health Informatics and Information Management, Pathologists' Assistant and/or research.
