Approximately 350 bone marrow biopsies, 250 flow cytometries (including minimal residual disease analysis), 500 peripheral smear reviews, 50 lymph node biopsies, and over 1200 hematology-oncology cerebrospinal fluid cytologies are performed annually, in addition to about 7000 surgical specimens, 200+ cytologies, and 20-30 autopsies. The candidate would join a department which includes 3 pediatric pathologists, a dual-boarded pediatric pathologist/ hematopathologist, a dual-boarded cytopathologist/hematopathologist, a dual-boarded pediatric pathologist/molecular pathologist, a PhD clinical microbiologist, and a PhD clinical chemist.
