Required Qualifications: Valid certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); 1 year of Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) or Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience as a staff nurse; three to four contracts in a dedicated pediatric CICU; at least 2 years minimum PICU experience as a staff nurse; experience caring for patients with congenital heart disease and post-operative management of congenital heart disease patients; experience managing arterial lines, central lines, transthoracic lines. Patient Care: Involves procedures such as central line and arterial line placement, conscious sedation, intubation and extubation, post-op recovery of cardiac and general procedures, sternal closures, codes, ECMO cannulation and decannulation, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), Manual Pleurodesis (PDB).
