The Medical Assistant performs administrative, clinical, and financial duties for the Pima County Health Department’s Tuberculosis (TB) Clinic; provides assistance to physicians, physicians’ assistants, and nurse practitioners; assists registered nurse case managers by testing patients’ vital signs, recording medical histories, taking blood samples, and ensuring patients sign consent forms prior to consultation with the case manager. High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certification AND six (6) months of medical assistance work experience OR enrollment in a certified Medical Assistant (MA) Program or certification from a valid educational institute.
