The Intake Therapist is responsible for initial contact with referral sources, potential patients, coordinating the referral and intake process and the admission process, providing trauma-informed assessment/treatment of patients, and ability to effectively and timely serve patients, as well as maintaining communication with referral sources, families, patients and unit staff. Summary Under the direction of the Director of Intake, the Intake Therapist assures that smooth, trauma-informed and orderly processes are followed for telephonic and in-person assessments to assist the physician in the identification of an appropriate level of care for potential patients.
