Unit Details: Common diagnoses and patient types include congestive heart failure (CHF), hypertension and chest-pain workups, COPD exacerbations, asthma, pneumonia, pancreatitis, bowel obstructions, gastrointestinal bleeding, acute renal failure, diabetes, wounds/wound vacs, cellulitis, joint replacements, surgical patients, sepsis and strokes. Full- and part-time employees must self-schedule a minimum of six weekend shifts per six-week schedule, aligning with department needs, unit staffing plans and equitable distribution among all staff.
