Patient populations include inpatient transplant, cardiac, critical care units, and OR patients, as well as outpatient transplant workups and follow-ups, athletes, and ER and trauma cases, specifically stroke and hand trauma. Call may be assigned on weekdays overnight and in 12-hour weekend shifts that may be days or nights; call is typically used only for critical staffing situations, with a 1-hour response time.
