p>When not working as a 1:1 safety sitter one will transition into the role of a Senior Patient Care Tech on inpatient units or as an ED Tech within the Emergency Department which include, but are not limited to, performing cardiac testing monitoring, running EKG"s, performs direct patient care such as bathing, assisting with elimination, bed making, and vital signs. Staff assigned as 1:1 safety sitters should provide all routine personal care, hygiene, toileting, activities, ambulation, range of motion (ROM), assist with meals, measure intake and output (I&Os), vitals, repositioning, purposeful rounding, safety checks and documentation of such in the patient's medical record.
