Patients include adults and geriatrics, including stroke patients (some acute stroke, no thrombectomies), hypertension, COPD, cellulitis, CHF, A-fib without RVR, chest pain, post-ICU MI, altered mental status/behavioral cases, some telemetry, surgical overflow (no joint or craniotomy cases), and oncology. Floating Requirements: The nurse is first to float to other Med-Surg units; if sent to Tele, a Tele RN will handle the strips; ER holds may occur occasionally; the nurse will not float to mother-baby.
